Pattern of Online end semester theory examinations (May/June 2021) for all the First year UG courses of PKIET (constituent college) campus will be as follows:
- End semester theory examinations will be conducted for 75 marks on the scheduled dates in the online mode.
- The question paper pattern is - Section A (5 x 2 = 10 marks), Section B (Open Choice* 5 x 10 = 50 marks) and Section C (1 x 15 = 15 marks). Questions in Sections B and C may have subsections
- Answer script will be valued online by the examiner appointed by CoE. Marks scored by the student out of 75 will be multiplied by a factor 2/3 and converted to a score X out of 50 marks.
- Concerned teacher appointed as examiner by CoE will conduct an online viva voce examination and evaluate the student for a score of Y out of 25 marks.
- Online viva voce examination will be scheduled on a suitable date after the regular examination in consultation with the Principal PKIET and the CoE.
- The examiner shall keep a record of the online viva voce examination. The viva shall be for a duration of 10 to 15 minutes for each student.
- Total marks scored by the student out of 75 in the end semester examination is X + Y
- Passing criteria as prescribed in the Regulation (a minimum of 30 out of 75 in the end semester examination and a minimum of 50 out of total 100) is applicable
*Open Choice: Answer any 5 out of 10 questions chosen from all the five units put together.
